My name is Shalu. I am an engineer & manager by education, people leader by practice, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) consultant & children’s book author by passion.  Throughout my last two decades in technology, I’ve built great teams, supported my clients in both business and people-centered organizational transformations, and I’ve learned many valuable lessons along the way. I know that the leadership strategies of yesterday aren’t enough to build an innovative, future-ready culture that embraces diversity at every stage.

I boldly challenge and redefine what it means to truly lead and belong—in the workplace, our families, and our communities while providing frameworks that help take inspired action today for a more inclusive tomorrow. You can reach out to me here.

"We need to challenge and redefine what it means to truly lead and belong—in the workplace, our families, and our communities."

Why do I cheer for Inclusion?

While the business case for diversity, equity, and inclusion is clear: less turnover, broader markets, better products, happier people, I care for DEI because it is aligned with the world we all at the position of power (leaders, managers, parents) are obligated to create for our next generation.

Not just because It sounds right or it’s trendy.

What DEI means to me?

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are more than a service or a solution. It’s a shared value of being present to the privilege of being human in a meaningful and measurable way.

It is continuous learning and evolution to be present, listen, and celebrate commonalities and differences. Find more about DEI Know how here.

How do I approach Inclusive leadership?

No one leader, DEI consultant, or strategist can know it all. Through my tech leadership, consulting, and coaching background, I co-create a balanced spectrum of thought partnership on both structural and interpersonal DEI.

I partner with forward-thinkers who want to build teams where each member feels seen, heard, and supported.
